Description

This is a small pendant head made to hang from a lighting track rather than from a ceiling point, so it can be positioned and repositioned along the rail as the room below changes. The shade is black, a little under 14cm across, and sits on a slim suspension that can be set high and close to the track or dropped well down towards a surface. Light comes from an integrated LED drawing 12.5W, tuned to a cool white at 4000K, and the beam is a directed pool rather than a broad wash. It is not dimmable, so it works on a plain switch.

We reach for heads like this over kitchen islands and breakfast bars, where a run of them along a single rail gives even, workable light across the whole length of a worktop. The cool white tone keeps colours honest for cooking and reading, which also makes it a sensible choice above a desk, a workbench or a display shelf. It suits anyone who already has track in place and wants hanging light without committing to a fixed position, and it is equally at home in a shop, studio or gallery where the layout shifts.

The driver is built in and the fitting is double insulated, so there is nothing to add beyond the track itself. It carries a three year warranty.
