Description

This is a small track light with a pendant drop, made to hang from a lighting track, so a single run can be dressed with as many or as few lights as a room needs. The shade is a tapered pagoda form, about 14cm across at its widest, finished in white. The LED sits inside the housing with its driver, drawing 12.5W and giving 950 lumens of warm white light. It is not dimmable, so it runs at full output whenever the track is live.

We reach for track pendants like this where a fixed ceiling point would land in the wrong place: over a long kitchen island, above a breakfast bar, or along a run of open shelving. The drop can be shortened or let out to suit the height of the surface below, and each head can be moved along the track later if the furniture moves. The beam is on the narrow side, which keeps light on the worktop rather than spreading it across the room, so it suits counters, display niches and reading corners.

The body is compact and light, which keeps the load on a track run modest even where several are used together. Wipe the outside with a dry cloth now and then, with the circuit off, and keep water away from it: the fitting is double insulated and meant for dry rooms indoors. Because the LED is built in, there is no lamp to change over its life. It carries a three year warranty. We stock the same head in black, in a cooler white version, and with a GU10 lampholder if you would rather choose your own lamp, and there is a matching ceiling pendant in the range for spots a track does not reach.
