Description

The Ovila is a 13-light glass cluster pendant featuring ribbed oval glass shades in two sizes and two colour tones—smoked grey and brandy—suspended on adjustable cables from a 96cm diameter chrome canopy. Each shade houses an E27 8W LED bulb, all of which are included. An RF remote control allows dimming from anywhere in the room without needing a wall-mounted dimmer switch.

Designed for double-height spaces, entrance halls, and stairwells with ceiling heights between 2.5m and 5m, the Ovila creates a vertical column or spiral of light depending on how the individual drop lengths are set during installation. The adjustable cables allow the overall drop to be configured between 150cm and 350cm, letting installers shape the arrangement to suit the room proportions and furniture layout. The chrome canopy conceals the ceiling rose and cable entry points, and gravity toggles keep it flush to the ceiling.

The ribbed glass surface on each shade diffuses the LED output while creating directional highlights along the vertical ridges, so the light changes character depending on viewing angle. The smoked grey shades produce a cooler, more subdued glow, while the brandy-toned glass casts warmer amber reflections. The combination of the two tones gives the cluster visual depth when viewed from below or from a mezzanine level. At 28kg total weight, the Ovila requires a ceiling joist or reinforced fixing point rated to carry at least 35kg.

The remote control operates on a radio frequency rather than infrared, so it does not require line-of-sight to the pendant and can be used from adjacent rooms or from a mezzanine. The RF receiver is housed inside the canopy. The pendant is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only and carries a Class 1 earth connection.

Are the LED bulbs included?

Yes. The Ovila ships with all 13x E27 8W LED bulbs pre-installed. The bulbs are integrated into the design and rated for the full lifespan of typical LED performance.

How does the remote control work?

The pendant includes an RF (radio frequency) remote control that communicates with a receiver housed inside the chrome canopy. Unlike infrared remotes, the RF remote does not require line-of-sight and can be used from adjacent rooms or from a mezzanine level. The remote controls dimming levels but does not switch the pendant on or off—that function is managed by the wall switch.

What ceiling height is needed?

The Ovila is designed for ceiling heights between 2.5m and 5m. The minimum configured drop is 150cm and the maximum is 350cm, both measured from ceiling to the lowest point of the lowest shade. In a typical 3m-high room, the pendant would be configured at around 180-200cm total drop to leave adequate clearance above head height.

Can the drop lengths of individual shades be adjusted?

Yes. Each of the 13 suspension cables is individually adjustable during installation, allowing the cluster to be shaped into a vertical column, a cascading spiral, or a cloud-like arrangement depending on the space and the designer's preference. The canopy diameter is 96cm, which sets the maximum horizontal spread of the cables.
