Description

The Montyra is an 800mm circular chandelier built around a brushed brass ring set with a stepped formation of natural Spanish alabaster panels. Flat stone panels are mounted vertically in two staggered tiers around the brass band, forming a continuous crown of alabaster that conceals an integrated 60W LED running at 3000K. The fitting hangs from a brushed brass canopy on three fine suspension cables.

Designed for dining rooms, large entrance halls and open-plan living spaces, the Montyra works best above a dining table or central seating area where its 800mm diameter reads as a defined horizontal element. The ceiling fitting suits rooms with heights of 2.7m or above, with the suspension cables adjustable on installation to set the ring 700-900mm above a dining surface. The integrated LED removes the need to source bulbs separately.

Each alabaster panel is cut from solid stone, so veining, mineral density and translucency vary across the ring. Honed surfaces allow the internal structure of the alabaster to show through when lit, with cooler white-grey panels alongside warmer cream and amber-tinged sections. The brushed brass band running through the centre of the ring picks up the warm tones in the stone, while the stepped panel arrangement casts soft horizontal shadows across the inner and outer faces of the chandelier.

At 240mm tall, the ring keeps a low overall profile despite its width, making it usable in rooms where a deeper multi-tier chandelier would feel oppressive. The combined brass frame and stone panels give the fitting visible weight in the room without crowding ceiling space directly above a table.

Yes. The chandelier uses an integrated LED rated at 60W with a 3000K warm-white colour temperature, so no separate bulbs are required. The LED runs on standard 230V UK mains.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 800mm diameter and 240mm height work best in rooms with ceilings of 2.7m or above. The suspension cables can be shortened on installation, so over a dining table the ring typically sits 700-900mm above the surface.

Will the alabaster panels look identical to the photograph?

The overall arrangement and finish will match, but each panel is cut from natural Spanish alabaster. Veining patterns, mineral density and tonal variation differ between individual panels and between fittings. This variation is a feature of the natural stone.

Is it dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility for the integrated LED depends on the specific dimmer module used. Please contact us with details of your intended dimmer before installation so we can confirm compatibility.
