Description

The Mireya is a 4 light wall fixture built from a metal frame wrapped in densely hung nickel-toned brass chains. Four E14 lamps (6W each) sit behind the chain veil, backlighting the metallic strands so the surface reads as a curtain of light rather than four discrete bulbs. Two horizontal nickel bands cross the front at offset heights, holding the chains in place and breaking the vertical fall into layered sections.

Designed for vertical wall surfaces in hallways, stairwells, dressing rooms, dining rooms and bedroom feature walls, the fixture measures 51cm wide by 53cm tall and projects from the wall on a concealed back plate. The chain density means the lamps remain glare-free at most viewing angles, so the fixture can sit at eye level beside a vanity or alongside a bed without producing harsh hotspots. Hardwired to a standard 230-240V supply.

The chains themselves are brass with a nickel finish, giving a cooler tone than raw or polished brass and reading closer to brushed steel under warm light. Subtle variation between strands and the slight movement of individual chains during installation means each fixture settles with its own pattern of folds and overlaps. At 6kg the fitting is substantial and benefits from being mounted into a stud or with appropriate cavity fixings rather than plasterboard plugs alone.

What bulbs does the Mireya take?

The fixture uses 4 x E14 (small Edison screw) lamps rated up to 6W each. Bulbs are sold separately. A warm-white LED between 2700K and 3000K suits the nickel chain finish and produces the softest backlight effect through the strands.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself does not include a built-in dimmer. Dimmability depends on the E14 bulbs chosen and the wall dimmer used. Pair dimmable LED E14 lamps with a confirmed-compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer for smooth control.

How is it mounted to the wall?

The Mireya hardwires to a standard 230-240V mains supply via a concealed back plate. At 6kg the fixture should be fixed into a stud or masonry where possible, or into plasterboard using rated heavy-duty cavity fixings rather than basic plastic plugs.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No IP rating is specified for this fitting, so it is intended for dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathroom zones, en-suites with direct shower spray, or external use.
