Description

The Minerva is a 10 light chandelier built from cascading strands of fine metal chain in a nickel finish, suspended from a matching nickel canopy. The chains hang in draped layers from a central frame, creating a tiered silhouette that widens from 20cm at the canopy to 55cm at the widest point before tapering to a central drop. Ten G9 bulbs (sold separately, 10W each recommended) sit within the chain curtain, diffusing light through the layered metalwork.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Minerva works in double-height entrance halls, above dining tables in period properties, and on landings where the chandelier can be viewed from multiple levels. The adjustable drop ranges from 105cm to 190cm, allowing the fitting to be set at the appropriate height during installation. The chain suspension system conceals the cable run and supports the 8.5kg weight of the metal frame and chain strands.

The nickel finish provides a cooler metallic tone than polished brass or antique bronze, pairing with grey-toned interiors, marble surfaces and contemporary classical schemes. Each G9 lampholder is Class 1 earthed and rated for 220-240V 50Hz mains. The IP20 rating limits the chandelier to dry indoor locations — it is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use. The chain strands move slightly in air currents, adding subtle kinetic interest when the chandelier is installed in a space with natural ventilation.
