Description

The Micron is a 24cm LED table lamp built around a dual-layer shade structure: a clear acrylic inner cylinder with a bubble texture sits inside a black metal mesh outer shade, both mounted on a polished gold cylindrical base. An integrated 5W LED inside the acrylic cylinder casts 450lm of 3000K warm light outward through the mesh, which softens the beam and creates shadow patterns on nearby surfaces.

Designed for side tables, bedside positions, shelving displays and home office desks where space is limited but accent lighting is needed, the Micron's 13cm diameter footprint fits onto narrow surfaces without overhanging. The mesh shade diffuses the LED source enough to prevent glare when placed within arm's reach, while the gold base provides visual weight and contrast against the black and transparent layers above. The lamp operates on mains voltage via a standard UK plug and cable.

The combination of polished gold metal, matt black mesh and transparent acrylic gives the Micron a layered appearance that works in both contemporary and industrial-accented interiors. The mesh pattern is fine enough to soften the light output without blocking it entirely, so the lamp provides usable ambient light for reading or working at close range while also acting as a decorative object when off. Is the LED replaceable?

No. The Micron uses an integrated 5W LED module rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation. The LED cannot be replaced once it reaches end of life.

Is it dimmable?

The product specification does not list dimmer compatibility. The integrated LED operates at fixed output on 220/240V mains. Please contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm compatibility.

What does the IP20 rating mean?

IP20 indicates the lamp is protected against solid objects larger than 12mm but has no water resistance. The Micron is suitable for dry indoor use only and should not be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or outdoor locations.

How is the mesh shade cleaned?

The black metal mesh can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth. For dust trapped inside the mesh, a soft brush or compressed air works better than wiping. The acrylic cylinder inside can be cleaned with a barely-damp cloth and mild soap if needed, but avoid soaking the electrical components.
