This is a plain velvet cushion from the Meridian range, made from 100% polyester with a soft, velvet-feel pile. The face and the reverse are a warm pumpkin orange, framed by a contrasting piped border in a deep mocha brown. It measures 55 x 55cm, which is larger than the everyday 45cm square most sofas are dressed with, so it reads as a generous, filled cushion rather than a slim scatter one.

A 55cm cushion earns its place at the back of a sofa or across the head of a bed, where its size holds the corner and gives you something substantial to lean into. The pumpkin orange sits happily against neutral linen sofas, dark green or navy upholstery, and natural wood, while the mocha piping picks up leather and warmer browns already in a room.
