The Mayura cushion pairs a soft steel-grey velvet ground with a hand-embellished peacock worked in beadwork and thread. The bird stands to one side, its long tail sweeping out in bugle beads of green and bronze punctuated by pearl-white cabochons, so the ornament reads richly up close and settles into the grey from across the room.
