Maryville 9 Light Chandelier - Washed Grey

The Maryville is a 9 light chandelier built on a two-tier wrought iron frame finished in washed grey, with nine E14 candle fittings set on floral-style bobeches and cascading strands of natural wood beads draped between the arms. The 813mm diameter frame and 838mm body height create a substantial presence suited to large dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above.

Designed for rooms where a single central fitting provides both ambient and decorative lighting, the Maryville distributes light from two tiers: three upper arms and six lower arms arranged symmetrically around the central column. The wood bead strands swag between the arms and hang from the upper tier, softening the metal framework and adding tactile detail. The fitting accepts nine E14 bulbs (sold separately) up to 60W each, allowing customisation of light temperature and brightness depending on whether warm candlelight effect or brighter functional light is needed.

The washed grey finish on the metalwork gives the chandelier a weathered, aged appearance that pairs with French country, rustic farmhouse and traditional interiors without the visual weight of darker iron finishes. The chain-hung suspension adjusts between 934mm minimum and 3110mm maximum drop, accommodating both standard and double-height ceilings. The wood beads are left in their natural tone, contrasting with the grey metal and creating depth when the fitting is lit.

What bulbs does it take?

The Maryville takes nine E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, sold separately. Each socket accommodates up to 60W. Most buyers pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs in the 4-6W range and 2700K colour temperature to mimic traditional candlelight.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop is 934mm from ceiling rose to the bottom of the chandelier. For a typical dining table installation where the fitting hangs 700-800mm above the table surface, a ceiling height of at least 2.7m is recommended. The chain adjusts up to 3110mm total drop for double-height entrance halls.

Is it suitable for sloped ceilings?

The chandelier hangs on a chain from a standard ceiling rose, so it will hang vertically even on a sloped ceiling. The ceiling rose may need to be mounted on a sloped ceiling adaptor plate depending on the ceiling pitch.

How is the wood bead detailing maintained?

The natural wood beads can be dusted with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush. Avoid water or spray cleaners as they may damage the wood or loosen the threading.
