Description

A slim tube on a fine suspension, this one hangs from the Magneto track rather than sitting tight against it. The body runs to 200mm and is finished in gold with black, so it reads as a small piece of hardware rather than a shade. The LED sits inside and is fixed at 7W, giving a warm 3000K light in a narrow downward beam. It is not dimmable, so it works as a straightforward on and off light.

We reach for these over a kitchen island, where a row of tubes along the track drops even pools of light onto the worktop without the bulk of bigger pendants. The drop can be set short or long, so the same fitting can sit low over a dining table or be kept well up in a hallway. Because the track carries the supply, tubes can be slid along, added to or taken out again as the room changes. It suits open plan kitchens and dining rooms, and anyone who would rather plan a track layout than live with fixed ceiling points.

Gold with black is a warmer pairing than all black hardware, and it sits happily next to brass taps, handles and other kitchen metalwork.
