Description

This is a small ball head on a slim suspension cable, made to run on the Magneto magnetic track range. Gold covers the shell, with black at the cable and the track head, and the ball is only 55mm across, so it reads as a neat point of light rather than a shade. The integrated LED draws 7W and puts out 560 lumens of warm white in a narrow, directional cone. Drop is adjustable within a set span, so a run of them can be levelled or stepped to suit the surface below.

We reach for this one over kitchen islands and breakfast bars, where a full pendant would crowd the sightline. It works just as well above a bar counter, a display shelf or a long console, and a group along a single track gives even pools of light without any visible wiring between them. The warm tone sits comfortably with timber, brass and stone, and the narrow spread keeps light on the work surface instead of spilling up the walls. This head is not dimmable, so it suits a simple on and off.

The two-tone finish keeps the gold as the visible face while the black parts recede into the track above. To clean, turn the power off at the track, let the head cool and take dust off with a dry cloth; keep sprays and solvents away from it. The LED and its driver are built in, so there is no lamp to buy or change, and it carries a three year warranty.
