Description

A small ball head hung from a slim suspension, finished in gold with black, this is a pendant fitting for the Magneto low voltage track system. The LED sits inside the ball and draws 7W, giving 560 lumens of warm 3000K light in a focused pool rather than a broad wash. The drop is adjustable, so heads can be levelled across a run or stepped deliberately along it. It is a small head, at home where a full-sized pendant would crowd the room. We stock this one in gold, alongside the black track it runs on.

It suits places where light needs to land on something in particular: a kitchen island, a length of worktop, a dining table or a display shelf. Two or three heads spaced along a track give better balance than one larger pendant, and because they draw power from the track they can be moved as a room's layout changes. We would use it over a breakfast bar in a flat where the existing ceiling point sits nowhere near the spot that actually needs light. Dimming works through a triac dimmer, bought separately, and the range includes a controller that handles a whole system.

The ball and stem are slight enough to sit quietly under a ceiling, and the gold reads warm against black track. Keep it clean by switching off, letting the head cool, then wiping the sphere with a soft dry cloth; nothing abrasive and no sprays near the flex. The light engine is integral, so there is no lamp to change. It carries a three year warranty. Surface and recessed track lengths, corner joints, end caps and a dimming controller all sit in the same range, so a short single line or a full circuit can be built from matching parts.
