The Lydiard cushion gives you two looks in one piece. One face carries a hand-painted watercolour meadow print in soft greens, ambers and browns, the kind of loose botanical study that reads as wild grasses, seed heads and teasels. Turn it over and you get a woven check in moss green and cream. It measures 30 x 50cm, a bolster-style oblong rather than a square, so it sits differently to the usual scatter cushion. The printed face is 100% cotton and the check reverse is a cotton-linen blend at 97% cotton and 3% linen.

This is an outdoor cushion, which changes where it earns its place. It suits garden sofas, bench seating and rattan furniture, and the reversible design means you can lead with the florals for a summer table setting or flip to the check for a plainer, more countryside look.
