Lumis 2 Light Outdoor Lamp Post - Brown

The Lumis is an 830mm outdoor lamp post with two E27 bulb fittings suspended on curved arms from a central column, cast entirely from die-cast aluminium and finished in a brown powder coat. Each lamp head consists of a downward-facing conical metal shade with a clear acrylic diffuser protecting the bulb aperture underneath. The post stands on a fluted base with a hexagonal footprint approximately 250mm across at its widest point.

Designed for residential pathways, driveways, front gardens and commercial courtyards, the Lumis provides twin pools of downward light at 830mm height, which is low enough to light a path without spilling excess glare upward into neighbouring windows or sky. The IP43 rating allows the post to be installed in exposed positions where it will encounter rain and wind, though it is not suitable for areas with direct water jets or submersion. Each E27 fitting accepts bulbs up to 60W, with most installations using warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for pathway visibility.

The die-cast aluminium construction gives the post a solid 8-9kg weight that resists movement once installed and anchored, and the brown powder coat finish provides corrosion resistance in coastal and high-humidity environments. The twin-arm configuration distributes light more evenly across wider driveways or path junctions than single-head posts, reducing dark spots between lit areas. The acrylic diffusers soften the direct beam from each bulb, reducing harsh shadows and glare when walking toward the post at night.

What bulbs does the Lumis take?

What does the IP43 rating mean?

IP43 means the lamp post is protected against solid objects larger than 1mm (including rain and dust) and water spray at angles up to 60° from vertical. It is suitable for exposed outdoor positions but should not be placed where it will encounter direct water jets from hoses or sprinkler systems.

How is the lamp post installed?

The Lumis requires a solid foundation — typically a concrete base with threaded anchor bolts or a precast concrete footing with embedded fixings. The hexagonal base plate has mounting holes for bolting down. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, as mains cabling must be run underground to the post location and connected inside the base compartment.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, the specification confirms dimmable capability. This depends on using dimmable LED bulbs and pairing the circuit with a compatible outdoor dimmer or smart switch rated for the total wattage of both bulbs.
