Description

The Lucia is a 110mm-wide LED wall light with a double-layered moulded glass shade mounted on a polished chrome backplate. The inner glass layer is textured with a diamond-cut pattern that scatters light in multiple directions, while the smooth clear outer glass acts as a protective shell and gives the fitting a clean geometric silhouette. An integrated 5W LED module sits behind the textured glass, producing 420 lumens of warm 3000K light.

Designed for hallways, landings, beside doorways and above console tables, the Lucia functions as ambient accent lighting rather than task illumination. The compact 110mm width and 130mm projection allow it to be mounted in narrower wall sections without protruding excessively. The polished chrome backplate measures approximately 60mm square and fits standard UK back boxes with a depth of 35mm or more. The fitting is rated IP20, making it suitable for dry indoor locations only.

The crystal-cut inner glass refracts the LED light into prismatic highlights across the surface, creating a decorative accent effect when lit, while the outer clear glass keeps dust away from the textured layer. The combined glass and chrome construction weighs 0.62kg, which is light enough to be supported on plasterboard with appropriate wall fixings. The polished chrome finish reflects surrounding light and pairs with both traditional and contemporary interiors that use metallic accents.

Is the Lucia dimmable?

The integrated LED is factory-fitted and operates at a fixed 5W output on 220-240V mains. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific driver inside the fitting. Please contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm compatibility.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The fitting is rated IP20, which is for dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, shower rooms, or any area where moisture or steam is present.

What back box depth is needed?

A minimum 35mm back box depth is required for safe installation. The polished chrome backplate is approximately 60mm square and conceals the back box once fitted.

How is the glass shade cleaned?

The outer clear glass can be wiped with a soft damp cloth or standard glass cleaner. Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the chrome backplate or electrical components. The textured inner glass is sealed inside and does not require cleaning.
