The Louviers is a column table lamp built around an oxblood-stained wood base with polished gold banding at the capital, mid-column and stepped plinth. A tall empire shade in ivory 100% cotton with black and gold trim sits on a brass harp, giving the lamp an overall height of 830mm and a 465mm diameter at the widest point of the shade. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W, sold separately.

Designed for side tables in sitting rooms, console tables in hallways, and bedside use in larger bedrooms, the Louviers provides diffused ambient light through the box-pleated cotton shade. The 550mm base height positions the light source well above typical sofa-arm or bedside table surfaces, directing light outward rather than down. The substantial 135mm-square plinth footprint anchors the lamp on furniture without requiring excessive table depth.

The oxblood finish on the wood column shows a deep burgundy tone with darker grain lines visible through the stain. The gold detailing is applied paint rather than metal leaf, giving crisp edges to the classical stepped mouldings at the capital and plinth. The ivory cotton shade softens the directional quality of a bare bulb while the black piping at top and bottom adds definition to the pleated fabric. What bulb does it take?

The Louviers takes a standard E27 Edison screw bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient room lighting.

Is the shade removable?

Yes. The shade sits on a brass harp attached to the bulb fitting and can be lifted off for cleaning or replacement. The harp remains attached to the base.

How is the cotton shade cleaned?

Use a soft brush vacuum attachment on low power to remove dust from the pleated cotton. For marks, spot-clean gently with a barely-damp white cloth and distilled water. Do not machine-wash or submerge the shade.

What table size does it need?

The 135mm-square plinth footprint fits most console tables, side tables and larger bedside tables. The 465mm shade diameter requires adequate clearance — allow at least 500mm of table width to avoid the shade overhanging the edge.
