Description
The Lock is a 7cm circular recessed outdoor wall light with an integrated 3W 3000K LED behind a frosted diffuser, housed in a black powder-coated aluminium body rated IP54 for outdoor use. The LED casts a narrow vertical slit of warm light downwards, designed for low-level marker lighting on stairs, pathways, and building perimeters.
Designed for flush mounting into exterior walls, the Lock requires a recessed installation depth of approximately 60mm behind the wall surface. Once installed, only the circular black faceplate and the frosted diffuser aperture are visible, giving a minimal profile that suits contemporary, industrial and modern building exteriors. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making the fitting suitable for sheltered outdoor locations including porch areas, courtyard walls, and external stairwells.
The 3W LED output at 3000K provides enough illumination for safe navigation without creating glare, while the recessed design prevents the light source from being visible directly. The black aluminium construction resists corrosion in damp outdoor environments and the powder-coated finish maintains its tone through seasonal temperature variation. The fitting operates on AC 100-240V, compatible with both UK and international mains voltage.

Frequently Asked
What installation depth is required?
The Lock requires approximately 60mm recess depth behind the wall surface for the LED module and wiring connections. A shallow back box or cavity must be prepared in the wall during construction or retrofitting.
Is the LED replaceable?
The LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The 3W LED is rated for 25,000+ hours of operation, equivalent to approximately 10-15 years of typical evening use.
Can it be used in fully exposed locations?
The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for sheltered outdoor locations. For fully exposed positions subject to heavy rain or direct water jets, an IP65 or IP67 rated fitting would be more appropriate.
What light pattern does it produce?
The frosted diffuser creates a narrow vertical slit of warm light that casts downwards onto the wall surface below. This provides low-level marker lighting rather than broad area illumination, suitable for stair treads and pathway edges.
