Description
The Knightsbridge 24DC75 is a 75W constant voltage LED driver that converts 230V 50Hz mains input to 24V DC output for LED strip lighting, under-cabinet LED modules, and other 24V constant voltage LED installations. The driver provides up to 3.1A output current and includes captured terminal screws for secure wire connection without requiring terminal blocks.
Designed for concealed installation in ceilings, kitchen plinths, furniture voids and other accessible spaces, the driver measures 184mm × 61mm × 32mm and sits in typical joisted ceiling voids or behind kitchen kickboards. The IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor locations — it is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor use, or anywhere subject to moisture ingress. The white polycarbonate housing provides electrical insulation and meets Class II requirements, meaning no earth connection is needed.
The driver includes built-in protection against open circuit, short circuit, overload and thermal overrun. If the LED load is disconnected, shorted, or draws excessive current, the driver cuts output until the fault is cleared. The thermal protection monitors internal temperature and reduces output if the driver overheats, preventing damage during abnormal operating conditions. The output is non-dimmable — pairing with a dimmer will either fail to dim or damage the driver.
The SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) output at 24V DC is considered safe to touch under normal conditions, though live 230V mains input must be isolated and terminated by a qualified electrician. The compact 184mm length suits most concealed installation spaces and the captured terminal screws accept solid or stranded conductors up to 2.5mm² without additional ferrules.

Frequently Asked
Can this driver be used with dimmable LED strips?
No. The 24DC75 is a non-dimmable constant voltage driver. Attempting to dim the output by placing a dimmer on the mains input side will either fail to dim or damage the driver. For dimmable 24V installations, use a dimmable-rated driver model.
What is the maximum LED load this driver supports?
The driver delivers up to 75W at 24V DC, which equates to approximately 3.1A maximum output current. Total connected LED load must not exceed 75W. For LED strip, calculate total wattage by multiplying watts-per-metre by total run length.
Where can this driver be installed?
The IP20 rating limits installation to dry indoor locations with adequate ventilation. Suitable locations include ceiling voids, kitchen plinths, furniture cavities and cupboards. It must not be installed in bathrooms, outdoors, or anywhere subject to moisture or condensation.
Does it require an earth connection?
No. The driver is Class II double-insulated and does not require an earth connection. However, mains input wiring must be carried out by a qualified electrician and comply with current UK wiring regulations.
