Description

The Kanlux Blingo AIO RM38W 60 is a 600x600mm recessed LED panel with switchable colour temperature, allowing on-site selection between 3000K warm white, 4000K neutral white and 6500K cool white via a switch inside the panel. The panel also adjusts between three power levels up to 38W maximum, giving flexibility to set the light output at installation without carrying multiple SKUs. The white steel frame sits flush in a suspended ceiling grid or coffered ceiling, with a polystyrene diffuser covering the SMD LED array.

Designed for commercial offices, retail back-of-house and educational facilities where different rooms need different light temperatures, the panel delivers between 4120 and 4490 lumens depending on the power and CCT setting chosen. The colour rendering index of Ra>90 means printed materials, fabrics and skin tones appear accurate under the light, which matters in design studios, garment retail fitting rooms and medical consulting spaces. The 115° beam angle provides even distribution across a desk plane or countertop without harsh hotspots.

The 28mm-deep steel enclosure houses a replaceable driver accessed from below, and quick-connect wiring blocks speed up installation when fitting multiple panels in a row. The panel operates on standard 220-240V AC mains at 50Hz with a 0.98 power factor, meaning minimal reactive load on the circuit. The diffuser version with microprismatic surface finish achieves UGR<19, meeting anti-glare requirements for VDU workstations under EN 12464-1. The panel is rated for 50,000 hours of operation and carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty.

The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only — this is not suitable for bathrooms, plant rooms or outdoor canopies. Operating ambient temperature range is 5-25°C, which covers typical air-conditioned offices but excludes unheated warehouses in winter or plant rooms in summer. The minimum safe distance from the illuminated surface is 0.5m, so the panel cannot be used in low plenums where it would sit closer than this to a desk or worktop.

How is the colour temperature changed?

A switch inside the panel housing allows selection between 3000K, 4000K and 6500K. The panel must be removed from the ceiling grid to access the switch, so the CCT setting is typically chosen during installation rather than adjusted regularly. Power level is also set via a separate internal switch at the same time.

What ceiling grid does it fit?

The 595x595mm frame fits standard 600x600mm suspended ceiling grids used in most UK commercial buildings. The 28mm depth sits within typical ceiling void depths of 150mm or more. If fitting into a coffered ceiling without a grid, the panel requires a supporting frame or clips compatible with the 595mm square footprint.

Is it suitable for use above desks with computers?

Can the driver be replaced if it fails?
