The Kalvenne is a tall LED floor lamp built as a single slim column of clear ribbed glass, held in a satin bronze frame of iron on a round disc base. It stands 151cm tall and 13.5cm across, so it takes up very little floor while giving a room a strong vertical line. The light is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It runs at 16W and gives 1520 lumens of warm white light at 2700K, and with a CRI of 90+ the colours of your fabrics, timber and artwork look true rather than flat.

It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. The maker states it is for indoor use only. Within the home, that still leaves plenty of good spots. In a living room it sits happily beside a sofa or armchair, or fills an empty corner that needs a little height and warmth. In a bedroom or study it gives a soft background glow for winding down, and in a hallway its narrow footprint keeps the way clear.
