Inglenook 3 Light Tiffany Island Chandelier - Valiant Bronze

The Inglenook is a 1207mm wide Tiffany island chandelier featuring handcrafted stained glass panels set in a valiant bronze metal frame. Three individual E27 sockets sit inside the rectangular shade, each housing a bulb rated up to 60W (sold separately). The stained glass combines sapphire blue, honey amber, cream and textured accent pieces in a geometric Arts & Crafts pattern, with each panel soldered together in the traditional Tiffany method.

Designed for suspension over kitchen islands, dining tables and billiard tables, the Inglenook provides both ambient and task lighting across surfaces 2-3m wide. The 1500mm chain allows adjustment between a 546mm minimum drop and a 1990mm maximum drop during installation, making it suitable for ceiling heights from 2.4m up to 3.5m. The wide rectangular format distributes light evenly along the length of a worktop or table without creating harsh shadows.

The valiant bronze finish on the frame and suspension rods is a warm, oxidised metal tone that complements the amber and earth tones in the glass. The stained glass itself is hand-cut and assembled, so minor variation in glass texture and colour placement is normal between individual pieces. When lit, the translucent panels cast coloured light patterns onto surrounding surfaces, with the blue and amber sections creating distinct warm and cool zones depending on viewing angle.

The rectangular shade measures 1207mm long by 406mm deep by 445mm high at the suspension points, giving it a substantial visual presence without overwhelming residential-scale rooms. The combined weight of the bronze frame and glass shade is carried on two suspension chains that attach to a dual-point ceiling canopy, distributing the load across two fixing points rather than a single central rose.

What bulbs does it take?

The Inglenook has three E27 (Edison screw) sockets, each rated for bulbs up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair Tiffany glass shades with warm-white filament-style LED bulbs between 6-8W and 2200K-2700K to complement the amber tones in the glass.

How is the drop adjusted?

The 1500mm chain can be shortened during installation by removing links to set the chandelier at the desired height above the surface. The minimum drop of 546mm suits standard 2.4m ceilings, while the maximum 1990mm drop accommodates vaulted or high ceilings up to 3.5m.

Does it need two ceiling fixings?

Yes. The chandelier suspends on two chains that attach to a dual-point ceiling canopy, requiring two ceiling fixings spaced approximately 900-1000mm apart along the centreline of the fitting. This distributes the weight of the bronze frame and glass shade across two points.

Is the stained glass delicate?

The glass panels are soldered into a rigid bronze frame, making the assembly reasonably robust once installed. During unpacking and installation, handle the fitting by the metal frame rather than the glass panels. Clean with a dry microfibre cloth — avoid spraying glass cleaner directly onto the shade as residue can collect in the solder seams.
