Description

The Illusis is an 800mm semi-flush ceiling light with 15 G9 bulb positions and hundreds of clear glass spheres suspended on fine nylon threads from a polished chrome circular canopy. The glass spheres vary in size from approximately 15mm to 40mm diameter, hanging at different lengths to create a cascading effect that extends roughly 400mm below the canopy.

Designed for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights where a full-drop chandelier would hang too low, the semi-flush mount sits close to the ceiling while maintaining visual impact through the volume of glass elements. The 15 G9 bulbs are positioned on metal rods within the canopy, directing light both upward onto the ceiling and downward through the suspended glass spheres, which act as individual prisms refracting and multiplying the light across the room. The fitting suits large living rooms, dining rooms over 4m wide, and double-height entrance halls where a statement ceiling piece is needed without consuming headroom.

The polished chrome finish on the 800mm-diameter canopy provides a reflective surface that amplifies the sparkle from the glass spheres when the lights are on, while the transparent glass maintains a light visual presence when viewed from below during daylight. Each sphere is threaded onto nylon fishing line rather than wire, reducing the visual weight of the suspension system and allowing the glass elements to appear to float.
