Description
This is the Hunter draught excluder, a long bolster made to sit along the foot of a door and hold back the draught that slips under it. The front carries a watercolour painting of a Highland cow, repeated four times along a plain cream ground, so the row of shaggy, russet-brown faces reads the full length of the piece. The reverse is a woven tartan in green, brown and rust with a fine orange overcheck, so whichever way it lands it earns its place. It is made from a 96% polyester and 4% linen blend, which is why it feels soft to the hand while standing up to being nudged, kicked and pushed back into place day after day.
A draught excluder works hardest at an external door, a back door or the bottom of a hallway door where cold air pools, and this one suits a country or neutral scheme without needing the rest of the room to match it. The cow print and the tartan give you two looks in one object: front out for the animal, reversed for a plainer tartan runner. It settles happily against wood floors, stone thresholds and neutral or earthy walls, and it is at home in a hallway, a living room or a snug where a bit of character is welcome.
The blend is the reason it holds its shape and prints its colour so cleanly, and the higher polyester content means it wears well in a spot that takes constant knocks. It has a soft edging where the two faces meet. It was designed, printed and made in the UK. If you like the look, the same Hunter Highland cow appears across the wider Hunter range, so you can carry the design through from door to sofa if you wish.

Frequently Asked
What is the draught excluder made from?
It is a blend of 96% polyester and 4% linen, which keeps it soft to handle while the high polyester content stands up to daily knocks against a door.
Can I use both sides?
Yes. One face shows the painted Highland cow print and the reverse is a woven tartan, so you can turn it whichever way suits the room on the day.
Where does it work best?
Lay it along the foot of an external door, a back door or a draughty hallway door where cold air collects, and it will help hold that cold air back.
Will it suit a neutral room?
It will. The cream ground and the earthy tartan tones sit comfortably with neutral or country-inspired schemes, wood floors and warm-toned walls.
Where is it made?
It was designed, printed and made in the United Kingdom, so the print and the tartan are produced together to the same standard.
