This is the House of Bloom Poppy outdoor cushion, a 43 x 43cm square worked in a hand-painted floral print. Vivid poppies in shades of pink and deep red open across the front, ringed by leaves in green, teal and gold, all set against an olive green ground. It is made from 100% polyester, and the reverse is a plain contrasting panel in bright pink, so the cushion carries two very different faces depending on how you turn it.

Because the polyester is UV and water resistant, this is a cushion built for outside as much as in. It is meant to sit on garden furniture, a bench or a patio sofa, and it will take sunshine, a passing shower and the odd spill without fuss.
