Description

A slim bar of steel in polished chrome, this one gathers a row of pendant drops into a single tidy line above a table or a worktop. Five holes are set along its length so flexes fall in a straight row rather than a cluster. At a little over 1.1m end to end it is long enough to space shades comfortably, yet it is shallow in depth and narrow across, so the bar keeps quiet and the pendants do the talking.

It is the piece to reach for when you want a matched run of shades over a long dining table, a kitchen island or a reception desk, and separate fittings would look scattered. It is non-electrical and holds no lampholders of its own, so the pendants you hang from it bring their own flex and their own lamp. We would pair it with a set of cord grips in the same chrome to hold each drop at the height you want, and we would keep the shades identical so the eye reads the row as one line.

The plate is pressed steel finished in bright polished chrome, which reflects the surfaces below it and takes fingermarks readily, so a wipe with a soft cloth kept slightly damp and a dry buff afterwards will keep it clear. Nothing abrasive and nothing solvent based, please, as the plating is thin. Keep it to dry rooms indoors, away from steam and splashing. It carries a one year warranty. The wider Hayes range gives you the fittings that go with it, including metal cable grip kits and packs of compression cord grips in matching polished chrome as well as blacks, whites and warmer plated tones if you would rather mix. Pendants and lamps are chosen separately.
