Description
The Hampton is a 2-light wall light built around a rectangular brass backplate measuring 381mm wide by 305mm high, with twin off-white linen drum shades set on brass arms projecting 140mm from the wall. Each shade houses a single E14 bulb fitting (bulbs sold separately), and beneath each shade sits a decorative acrylic diffuser panel that catches and softens downward light when viewed from below.
Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living room feature walls, the Hampton works well flanking mirrors, either side of a bed headboard, or paired along corridor walls to provide evenly spaced task and ambient light. The 140mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall, making it suitable for narrower hallways where deeper-projecting wall lights would intrude on walkways. The twin-shade configuration spreads light horizontally rather than concentrating it in one spot, reducing harsh shadows on textured wallpapers or artwork.
The brass finish on the backplate and arms is a warm brushed tone that sits between antique and polished brass, pairing comfortably with both muted greys and richer jewel-toned colour schemes. The off-white linen shades diffuse light softly, preventing glare while maintaining enough brightness for reading when fitted with 25-40W-equivalent LED E14 bulbs. The structured geometry of the rectangular backplate and cylindrical shades gives the Hampton a mid-century character that works in both traditional and contemporary transitional interiors.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Hampton take?
The fitting takes two E14 small Edison screw bulbs up to 40W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED candle bulbs rated 4-6W (equivalent to 25-40W incandescent) at 2700K-3000K for bedroom and hallway use.
Can it be used in a bathroom?
The Hampton carries no IP rating and is designed for dry indoor locations only. It is not suitable for bathrooms or other environments with moisture or steam.
What's the purpose of the acrylic panel beneath each shade?
The acrylic diffuser softens and redirects light downwards, reducing the intensity of the bulb when viewed from below and giving a more finished appearance to the underside of each shade. It also prevents direct glare if the fitting is installed at or above eye level.
How is the linen shade cleaned?
Dust the linen gently with a soft brush or dry microfibre cloth. For marks, spot-clean lightly with a barely-damp cloth and distilled water, testing on an inconspicuous area first. Do not soak the fabric or use household cleaning sprays.
