Description

This is a recessed ceiling downlight that takes a single GU10 twist-lock lamp, which is not included so you can pick the brightness and tone of bulb to suit the room. The fitting sits in a fixed position, sending its light straight down once a lamp is fitted, and the round face measures Ø89 mm across.

It drops into a standard 75mm cut-out in a plasterboard or panelled ceiling, with the trim sitting flush against the ceiling face once seated. Rated IP20, it is intended for dry indoor rooms such as living rooms, hallways, kitchens and bedrooms, and is well suited to general ceiling lighting laid out in a grid across the room. It accepts GU10 lamps up to 10W, so the chosen bulb governs the output.

The body is aluminium alloy in a two-tone gold and white finish, part of the Glozo range, giving a clean ring against a white or pale ceiling. The lamp twists into the GU10 holder for a tool-free change, and because the position is fixed the beam always points downward. Dimming depends on the GU10 bulb you fit rather than the housing itself.

Is a bulb included?

No, the downlight is supplied without a lamp. It accepts one GU10 twist-lock bulb, which you choose and buy separately so you can set the brightness and colour tone yourself.

What size cut-out do I need?

The fitting drops into a 75mm cut-out in the ceiling. Make the hole at this diameter so the Ø89 mm trim sits flush against the ceiling face once the downlight is seated.

Can it be used in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. It is rated IP20, which means it is for dry indoor rooms only. Keep it clear of bathrooms, wet areas and any outdoor or exposed locations.

What wattage of bulb can I fit?

Fit a GU10 lamp rated up to 10W maximum. Whether it dims depends on the bulb you choose, as the housing itself has no bearing on dimming.
