Description

This recessed downlight, from the Glozo range, takes a single GU10 twist-lock lamp and sits flush within a ceiling. It is a fixed, non-adjustable fitting that points straight down, giving a neat, low-profile finish once installed. The lamp is not included, so you can pick the GU10 bulb that suits the room in terms of brightness and tone. With a round trim measuring Ø98 mm and a depth of 44 mm, it sits cleanly against the ceiling line.

Designed for recessed installation, the fitting drops into a 70mm cut-out in plasterboard or a similar ceiling. It suits general lighting in living rooms, hallways, kitchens and bedrooms, working well in rows for even coverage or singly over a defined spot. Rated IP20, it is for dry indoor use only, so keep it clear of bathroom zones, porches and any location exposed to moisture.

The body is aluminium alloy in an anthracite finish, giving a hard-wearing trim that suits darker or contemporary ceilings. It accepts GU10 lamps up to a maximum of 10W, so check your chosen bulb stays within that limit. The GU10 twist-lock holder makes lamp changes straightforward without tools, and the fixed housing keeps the beam aimed directly downward.

No, the fitting is supplied without a bulb. It accepts a separate GU10 twist-lock lamp, which you choose and buy to suit the brightness and colour tone you want.

What cut-out size do I need?

The fitting recesses into a 70mm cut-out, so you will need a 70mm hole in the ceiling. Always check the depth clearance above the ceiling against the 44 mm fitting depth before installing.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use only, so it should not be fitted in bathroom zones, porches or any damp or exposed location. Choose an IP65-rated fitting for those areas.

What wattage bulb can I fit?

It accepts GU10 lamps up to a maximum of 10W. Most LED GU10 bulbs sit comfortably within this limit, so check the rating on your chosen lamp before fitting.
