Description

This GU10 lampholder is the connector a separate GU10 spotlight bulb twists into, holding the lamp firmly in place and wiring it into the circuit. The bulb is not included, so the lamp itself is chosen and bought separately to suit the fitting. The holder accepts the standard GU10 twist-lock cap and is rated at 250V AC and 2A.

Connection is made through a terminal block, which keeps the live and neutral connections secure and makes the holder straightforward to wire into a fitting, downlight housing or replacement project. It is built to cope with the heat a spotlight lamp can generate, with a maximum operating temperature of 250°C, so it stays reliable in enclosed or recessed positions where temperatures climb.

Finished in grey, the holder is a practical replacement or build part rather than a visible feature, and it carries no light of its own. The lamp fitted into it provides all the brightness and tone. Wiring should be carried out with the supply isolated, ideally by a qualified electrician.
