Description

This Knightsbridge grid switch cover is a pre-printed rocker marked 'BOILER' in a brushed chrome finish, designed to replace the standard rocker on modular grid switches. The cover clips onto the existing switch mechanism, providing clear appliance identification without needing to rewire or replace the entire switch module.

Used in utility rooms, kitchens and plant rooms where dedicated circuits control boilers, immersion heaters or other fixed appliances, the marked cover removes ambiguity about which switch controls which load. The 33mm height and 16mm width fit standard Knightsbridge grid switch modules, making this a direct swap for existing unmarked rockers in the same range.

The brushed chrome finish is applied to an ABS plastic and steel construction, giving a satin metallic appearance that resists fingerprints and matches the wider Knightsbridge grid range in brushed chrome. The cover projects 6.8mm from the grid plate when fitted and carries an IP20 rating, making it suitable for dry indoor locations only.

Can the cover be removed and replaced?

Yes. The rocker cover clips onto the switch mechanism and can be pulled off and replaced with a different marked or unmarked cover without removing the grid plate or rewiring the switch.
