Description

The Gord XS is a square GU10 spotlight rated up to 10W, designed to direct a controlled pool of light onto a focal point. In US terms this is a recessed-style accent spot, though here it surface-mounts to the ceiling for adjustable directional aim. The fitting takes a single GU10 lamp, so the colour temperature and beam follow whichever bulb is chosen, letting it work as a tight accent or a wider task light. Its compact 80 by 80 mm square housing keeps the visible footprint small while the angled head throws light where it is needed.

Indoor rooms such as living spaces, hallways, kitchens and home offices suit the Gord XS well, where a focused beam can graze a wall, pick out artwork or brighten a worktop. Rather than flooding a whole room, it concentrates output onto a defined area, so several units in a row build coverage along a feature wall or run of cabinetry. The throw stays narrow and directional, which makes it a good choice for layered schemes alongside ambient ceiling fittings. Is the GU10 bulb included?

The Gord XS is supplied as the fitting only and takes a standard GU10 PAR16 LED lamp, which is bought separately. This lets you pick the wattage, beam angle and colour temperature to suit the space.

Can it be dimmed?

Dimming depends entirely on the GU10 bulb fitted and the dimmer switch used. Choose a dimmable GU10 LED and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer if you want adjustable output.

Can I use the Gord XS outdoors or in a bathroom?

No. It carries an IP20 rating, so it is rated for dry indoor use only. Keep it clear of bathrooms, porches and any damp or exposed locations.

How do I clean it?

Switch off and allow the fitting to cool, then wipe the white aluminium housing with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners so the finish stays intact.
