Description
This is a pair of pillowcases in the Golden Lily design, made from pure cotton with a genuinely two-sided character. The face is a garment-washed slub cotton, which gives it a soft, slightly relaxed handle straight out of the packet; the reverse is a 200 thread count percale, a plainer weave that reads crisp and smooth against the softer front. Across the face runs a classic Morris floral, drawn from the William Morris archive, its lilies and scrolling stems worked in tonal greens, soft blues and warm terracotta rusts on a pale ground. The reverse carries a smaller tonal damask pattern, so whichever way you lay them there is something to look at.
Pillowcases like these sit at the front of the bed, so they do a lot of the work in setting a room's tone. This design leans towards country and classic interiors, and the botanical print pairs happily with painted timber, natural fibres and greenery. It works as part of a fuller Golden Lily set or on its own over plain white bedding, where the pattern has room to breathe. Because both sides are finished, you can turn the case to the quieter damask when you want the bed calmer.
The pair is reversible and closes with an envelope back, which tucks the pillow in without buttons or ties and keeps a clean line. Each case is finished with an Oxford border, a flat fabric edge that frames the pillow, and a contrast piped trim runs along it for a little definition. Being pure cotton, they are breathable and take a wash well, softening further with use. Fold them back over a duvet or layer them behind sleeping pillows to bring the Golden Lily pattern up the bed.

Frequently Asked
What is the difference between the two sides?
The face is a garment-washed slub cotton with a soft, relaxed feel and the floral print, while the reverse is a smoother 200 thread count percale carrying a smaller tonal damask pattern.
Are these pillowcases really reversible?
Yes. Both sides are finished, so you can display either the Golden Lily floral face or the quieter tonal damask reverse depending on the look you want.
How do the pillowcases close?
They use an envelope back, which folds over to hold the pillow in place without buttons, zips or ties, giving a clean, uninterrupted edge.
What is the Oxford border?
The Oxford border is a flat fabric edge that frames the pillow beyond the pocket, here finished with a contrast piped trim for extra definition around the case.
What are they made from?
They are pure cotton throughout, which is breathable and washes well, so the fabric tends to soften and settle further with regular use.
How many pillowcases do I get?
This is sold as a pair, so you receive two matching pillowcases, enough to dress both pillows on a bed or keep a spare set to hand.
