Description
The Glintis is a 300mm LED bathroom mirror light with a powder-coated cast aluminium body in grey, an integrated 9.5W LED rated at 3000K, and an opal polycarbonate diffuser. The IP44 rating allows safe installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, making it suitable for positioning above mirrors, vanity units and washbasins where moisture and splashing occur.
Designed for bathroom mirror lighting, the Glintis mounts horizontally on the wall 150-200mm above the mirror top edge, casting even downward light onto the face without creating shadows under the chin or eyes. The 70mm projection keeps the fitting close to the wall, reducing the risk of head-strikes in narrow bathrooms while the opal diffuser hides the LED strip from direct view and softens the output to reduce glare in reflective surfaces.
The 9.5W LED produces approximately 900 lumens at 3000K, delivering warm white light comparable to halogen bathroom lighting but drawing 85% less power. The grey powder-coated aluminium finish pairs with contemporary bathroom fittings in chrome, brushed nickel and matt black, and the neutral tone sits comfortably alongside white tiles, grey grout and natural stone surfaces. At 300mm length the Glintis suits single-basin vanities and smaller mirror widths between 400-600mm.

Frequently Asked
Is the Glintis suitable for use directly above a bathroom mirror?
Yes. The IP44 rating allows safe installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, which includes positions above mirrors and vanity units where splashing may occur. The fitting should be positioned 150-200mm above the mirror top edge for even facial lighting.
Can it be dimmed?
No. The integrated 9.5W LED is non-dimmable and runs at fixed brightness on standard 230V mains supply. If dimming is required, consider alternative Ideal Lux bathroom lights with dimmable LED drivers.
What colour is the light output?
The LED is rated at 3000K, producing warm white light similar in tone to halogen bathroom lighting. This is warmer than daylight-white LEDs (4000K+) and creates a more flattering light for makeup application and shaving.
What mirror width does the 300mm length suit?
The 300mm Glintis works best with mirrors between 400-600mm wide, typically single-basin vanity installations. For wider mirrors or double-basin vanities, consider pairing two Glintis fittings or using a longer variant from the Ideal Lux range.
