Description
The Gleamora-1 is a 55mm diameter recessed ground light built to carry vehicle weight across driveways, parking areas and patios. A 2W integrated LED sits behind a tempered glass diffuser, casting a 4000K cool white beam upwards through the glass. The IP68 rating allows the fitting to be submerged in water and driven over without ingress, making it suitable for both pathway edging and full drive-over installation in hard landscaping.
Designed for outdoor environments where directional uplight is needed without visible fixtures, the Gleamora-1 sits flush with block paving, resin-bound surfaces, concrete and tarmac once installed. The focused beam angle highlights walls, planting, architectural features or simply marks pathway edges and steps after dark. The cool white output matches security lighting and modern outdoor schemes where a neutral, daylight-like tone is preferred over warm white.
The grey metal body blends into charcoal paving, anthracite surfaces and contemporary hard landscaping palettes. The tempered glass diffuser is impact-resistant and heat-tolerant, designed to withstand both vehicle passage and seasonal temperature extremes. The integrated LED removes the need for bulb replacement, with the 2W output providing subtle uplight rather than flood illumination — this is accent lighting, not area lighting.

Frequently Asked
Can it be driven over by vehicles?
Yes. The Gleamora-1 is designed to withstand vehicle weight when installed flush with driveways, parking areas and hard paving. The tempered glass diffuser and metal housing are impact-rated for drive-over use.
What does the IP68 rating mean?
IP68 is the highest ingress protection rating for outdoor lighting. The fitting is fully sealed against dust and can be submerged in water beyond 1m depth without damage, making it suitable for areas prone to standing water, puddles or heavy rain.
How is it installed?
The fitting requires a recessed cavity cut into the ground surface with a mains-voltage cable run. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician, particularly where the light is embedded in a driveway or structural surface.
What colour is the light output?
The integrated LED provides 4000K cool white light, which appears neutral to slightly blue-toned — closer to daylight than the warm yellow of 2700K-3000K bulbs. This matches security lighting and modern outdoor schemes.
