Description

The Gisela is a 149cm floor lamp with an adjustable matt black fabric shade, a satin brass stem and a matt black circular base. The shade tilts on a brass-finished joint at the top of the stem, allowing the light to be directed towards a reading position, across a desk surface or angled up onto a wall. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb up to 20W (sold separately).

Designed for reading corners, home office setups and beside-armchair positions, the Gisela provides directed task lighting without needing a fixed ceiling fitting. The 36cm-wide base gives stability on bare floors and low-pile rugs, while the slender stem profile keeps the visual footprint compact. The shade's fabric lining diffuses the bulb glare while maintaining enough directional control for close work or evening reading.

The combination of matt black metalwork and satin brass accents pairs with mid-century, industrial and contemporary interiors. The brass finish on the stem adds warmth without the high reflectivity of polished brass, allowing the lamp to sit comfortably in both warm-toned and cooler grey-based schemes. The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 20W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for reading.

Can the shade angle be adjusted?

Yes. The fabric shade tilts on a brass-finished joint at the top of the stem, allowing you to angle the light towards a reading position, desk surface or upwards onto a wall as wash light.
