Description

The Ginger small pendant is a 45cm flat disc shade suspended on a black cable, combining a brown wood-effect upper surface with a white-painted underside and a small black domed diffuser at the centre. An integrated 8W 3000K LED sits inside the black diffuser and projects light upward onto the white inner face of the disc, which then bounces soft, indirect light down into the room.

This indirect arrangement makes the Ginger suit dining areas, breakfast nooks, kitchen islands and bedside positions where a glare-free wash of warm light is preferred over a directional beam. The 150cm cable allows the pendant to be hung 700-800mm above a dining table or kitchen island in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upward, and the cable can be shortened during installation for lower ceilings.

The shade is made from metal with a brown wood-grain finish on the visible upper face, paired with a matt white inner reflector and a matt black central diffuser and cable. At 45cm wide and only 15cm tall, the proportions stay low-profile rather than dominating the ceiling line, which works well above a two- or four-seat dining table or as a single feature over a kitchen worktop. The mix of warm wood tone and black hardware bridges Scandinavian, Japandi and contemporary interiors.

Does it come with a bulb?

Yes. The Ginger has an integrated 8W LED rated at 3000K (warm white), so no separate bulb is required. The LED is built into the central black diffuser and is not user-replaceable.

Is the light directed downward or upward?

The LED projects upward onto the white inner face of the shade, which reflects the light back down as a soft, indirect wash. This avoids glare when seated at a dining table beneath the pendant.

What size space does it suit?

At 45cm diameter and 15cm tall, the small Ginger suits two- to four-seat dining tables, single positions over a kitchen island or worktop, breakfast nooks and bedside hanging. For larger six-seat tables a bigger pendant or a pair of Gingers in a row works better.

Can the cable be shortened?

Yes. The 150cm cable can be shortened during installation to set the pendant at the desired drop. Most dining and island installations sit the shade 700-800mm above the table or worktop surface.
