Description

The Gemma is a 540mm chandelier with three E27 bulb fittings surrounded by rectangular prisms of amber pearl and clear crystal set in a vintage bronze drum frame. The mixed crystal creates a layered refraction effect as light passes through both tinted and clear glass, producing amber and white highlights across the metal cage.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Gemma provides both ambient light through the diffuser beneath the drum and decorative sparkle from the crystal surround. The drop adjusts between 622mm and 1543mm on installation, allowing the chandelier to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining surface or higher for hallway installations. The 540mm diameter suits tables of 1.4-1.8m length and room widths of 3-4m.

The vintage bronze finish has a low-sheen aged patina that pairs with both warm-toned traditional interiors and industrial-leaning modern schemes. Each crystal prism is hand-cut and reflects light differently depending on viewing angle, so the fixture changes character as you move around the room. The drum frame holds three E27 bulbs (sold separately) with a maximum load of 60W per socket, giving flexibility to choose warm-white LEDs or filament-style bulbs to match the room's tone.

What bulbs does the Gemma take?

The chandelier has three E27 (Edison screw) fittings, each rated up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations use warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to complement the amber crystal tones.

What ceiling height is needed?

The drop adjusts between 622mm and 1543mm on installation. For dining table positioning the chandelier typically hangs 700-900mm above the surface, which requires ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the Gemma if the drop is set to minimum during fitting.

How is the drop adjusted?

The suspension chain and cable can be shortened during installation by a qualified electrician. The adjustment is set once during fitting and is not user-adjustable afterwards without re-accessing the ceiling rose.

Can the crystal prisms be cleaned?

Yes. The crystal can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth to remove dust. For deeper cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water works without leaving mineral deposits. Avoid household glass cleaners or sprays as these can leave residue on the bronze frame.
