Description
The Gala is a 90x120cm hand-painted acrylic canvas featuring cascading vertical flows of coral, cobalt, mint, saffron and plum paint, arranged to evoke the shape and colour gradation of a peacock's tail feathers. The paint is applied in layers with visible brushwork and palette-knife texturing, creating raised impasto sections where the colour builds up thickest along the central vertical axis.
Designed for residential and hospitality interiors with blank vertical wall space, the painting works above sofas in living rooms, on stairwell landings where height is available, or in hallways where it can act as a visual anchor from a distance. The 120cm vertical dimension suits walls with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, and the colour palette pairs with interiors that already carry warm coral, terracotta, mustard or teal accent tones. The 3.5cm stretched canvas depth allows the piece to be hung directly from D-rings or wire without needing a separate frame.
Each Gala painting is hand-painted by Schuller's studio artists in Spain, so the exact placement and intensity of each colour section varies between pieces. The image shown is representative rather than identical to the painting you receive. The stretched canvas format means the painting arrives ready to hang, with the canvas wrapped around a wooden stretcher frame and the edges painted to match the front composition. At 2.5kg the painting can be wall-mounted with standard picture hooks rated for 3-5kg.

Frequently Asked
Does the painting arrive framed?
No. The canvas is stretched over a wooden frame with painted edges, designed to hang without an additional frame. If you prefer a framed presentation, the 90x120cm size can be box-framed by a professional framer.
Will my painting look exactly like the image?
No. Each Gala painting is hand-painted by Schuller studio artists in Spain, so the exact placement, intensity and brushwork of the colour sections varies between pieces. The image is representative of the composition and colour palette, not a photograph of the specific painting you will receive.
What wall colour does it pair with?
The multicoloured palette works on white, off-white, pale grey, warm taupe and soft terracotta walls. Darker wall colours (charcoal, navy, forest green) can also work if the room has good natural or accent lighting to bring out the painting's colour range.
How is it hung?
The painting weighs 2.5kg and can be hung from D-rings or wire fixed to the back of the stretcher frame. Use standard picture hooks rated for 3-5kg, fixed into wall plugs if hanging on plasterboard.
