Description

The Fox is a 4-light bar pendant built around four double-layered shades, each pairing an inner metal mesh cylinder with an outer glass shell. The shades hang from a 107cm chocolate brown lacquered metal bar on adjustable cables, allowing individual drop heights between 40cm and 140cm. Four E27 bulbs (included) sit inside the mesh cylinders, with the light diffusing through both the mesh weave and the outer glass layer.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and hallway runs where distributed light across a linear zone is needed, the Fox provides both task and ambient lighting. The pendant is controlled via a radio frequency remote included in the box, which adjusts brightness without needing a wall dimmer installation. The 5kg weight and Class 1 earthing require a ceiling joist or rafter fixing rather than a plasterboard-only anchor.

The chocolate brown finish on the bar and cable housings gives the pendant a warmer industrial tone than black or graphite alternatives, pairing well with oak, walnut and terracotta interiors. The metal mesh inner shade softens the bulb filament glow before it reaches the outer glass, preventing glare at eye level when the pendant is installed above a dining table at the typical 700-800mm drop. The dual-layer construction also traps heat inside the mesh cylinder, keeping the outer glass cooler to the touch than single-layer glass pendants.

Each shade measures approximately 20cm in depth and the total bar span of 107cm suits tables or islands between 140-180cm long, allowing balanced light distribution without needing additional fittings. The IP20 rating limits the Fox to dry indoor locations — it is not suitable for bathrooms, covered outdoor areas or kitchens directly above hobs where steam and heat concentration occur.

Yes. The Fox includes four E27 LED 8W dimmable bulbs rated at 220/240V. The bulbs are controlled via the included RF remote, which adjusts brightness without needing a wall dimmer switch.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

Yes. Each of the four shades hangs on an adjustable cable, allowing drop heights between 40cm and 140cm. The cables are adjusted during installation and can be shortened or lengthened later if needed by accessing the cable housing at the bar.

What table length does the 107cm bar suit?

The 107cm bar works best above dining tables or kitchen islands between 140-180cm long. For longer tables, two Fox pendants can be installed end-to-end, though this requires two separate ceiling fixing points.

How is the chocolate brown finish maintained?

The lacquered metal bar and cable housings can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth. For the glass outer shades, a standard glass cleaner and soft cloth work well. The inner mesh cylinders collect dust over time and benefit from occasional vacuuming with a soft brush attachment while the bulbs are cool.
