Description

The Forma Large is a 55cm pendant light built around a flowing mesh shade in bright gold metal, suspended from a polished chrome stem and ceiling rose. The mesh forms an organic, undulating shape that catches and diffuses light from a single E27 bulb (sold separately) inside the shade. The open metallic weave allows light to scatter through the gaps while the gold surface reflects warm tones across the surrounding ceiling and walls.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and statement positions in living rooms, the Forma's 55cm width and 28cm height suit spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The drop is adjustable between 40cm minimum and 150cm maximum on installation, allowing the pendant to be positioned 70-90cm above a table or worktop depending on ceiling height. The chrome ceiling rose fits standard UK ceiling fixings and the cable runs through a twisted chrome flex that complements the industrial mesh aesthetic.

The gold mesh shade weighs 1.12kg and presents as a single sculptural object despite being formed from individual wire strands. The bright gold finish contrasts with the polished chrome hardware, creating a two-tone metallic accent that pairs with both warm and cool interior palettes. The E27 lampholder accepts bulbs up to 40W, giving flexibility to choose between warm filament styles for ambient light or brighter LED options for task lighting over a dining surface.

What bulb does the Forma take?

The pendant takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 40W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-8W and 2700K for ambient dining or kitchen island lighting.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The drop is adjustable between 40cm minimum and 150cm maximum during installation, allowing the pendant to be positioned at the correct height above a table or worktop depending on your ceiling height.

Is the Forma suitable for bathrooms?

No. The pendant carries an IP20 rating, meaning it is not protected against moisture ingress and is designed for dry indoor locations only.

How is the mesh shade cleaned?

Switch off the power and allow the bulb to cool. Dust the mesh with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth can be used, but avoid soaking the metal or using chemical sprays which may damage the gold finish.
