Description
The Exility is a 1m recessed magnetic track designed to sit flush within 12.5mm plasterboard ceilings, creating a clean line once plastered and painted. The track runs on 48V DC and uses a magnetic attachment system that allows compatible lighting modules to be placed, moved and reconfigured along the channel without tools or fixed wiring points.
Designed for residential and commercial installations where visible track systems would clash with minimalist or contemporary architecture, the Exility sits below ceiling level with only the narrow aperture visible once finished. The track suits living rooms, hallways, offices and retail spaces where lighting needs to be reconfigurable without permanent fixing. The magnetic system means spotlights, pendant drops and linear modules can be repositioned as furniture layouts or display configurations change.
The black aluminium extrusion measures 100cm long, 7cm wide and 4.6cm deep, with the depth accommodating the void needed for the magnetic rail and electrical conductors. The track carries an IP20 rating, so it's suitable for dry indoor environments but not for bathrooms or outdoor use. The 48V DC voltage requires a compatible driver (sold separately) to step down from mains 230V AC, and the low-voltage system provides additional safety in residential applications compared to mains-voltage track.
The Exility is part of Maytoni's modular magnetic track range, which includes matching corner connectors, L-joiners and T-joiners for creating continuous runs around room perimeters or grid layouts. The black finish pairs with the Exility magnetic spotlight and pendant modules in the same series, available separately at Niori.

Frequently Asked
What plasterboard thickness does it fit?
The track is designed for 12.5mm plasterboard ceilings, which is the standard UK residential plasterboard thickness. The 4.6cm depth sits within the ceiling void, with the track aperture sitting flush with the finished plaster surface once installed and skimmed.
Does it come with a power supply?
No. The track requires a separate 48V DC driver to convert mains 230V AC down to the track's operating voltage. The driver is sold separately and must be rated to match the total wattage of all magnetic modules attached to the track.
Can lighting modules be moved once fitted?
Yes. The magnetic attachment system allows spotlights, pendants and linear modules to be slid along the track, removed and repositioned without tools. This is the primary advantage of the Exility system over fixed-wiring track.
Can multiple tracks be joined together?
Yes. Maytoni produces corner connectors, L-joiners and T-joiners in the Exility range to create continuous runs or grid layouts. These connectors are sold separately and allow the track to follow room perimeters or span larger ceiling areas.
