Description

The Esmora is a 330mm-tall table lamp built around a solid cylindrical marble base in brown emperador-style stone, topped with an opal white glass dome shade. A single E14 lamp sits inside the shade (sold separately), with a small dark metal connector bridging the stone column and the glass. An inline rocker switch on the black fabric cord controls the light at table level.

At 200mm in diameter and 330mm tall, the Esmora suits bedside tables, console tables in entrance halls and side tables flanking a sofa. The opal glass dome diffuses the bulb evenly across its full surface, giving a soft ambient glow rather than directed task light, which makes it well suited to evening lighting layered alongside a brighter overhead source. The visible inline switch keeps operation simple without needing access to a wall socket.

The marble cylinder shows the natural veining and tonal variation typical of brown emperador stone, with cream and pale grey fissures running through a darker brown ground. No two bases look identical. The compact cylindrical form gives the lamp a low centre of gravity and a substantial weight that keeps it stable on smaller surfaces. It uses a single E14 (small Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED candle bulb between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K pairs well with the opal glass shade for soft bedside or ambient lighting.

How is the lamp switched on?

An inline rocker switch is fitted on the black fabric cord, allowing the lamp to be turned on and off at the cable rather than at the wall socket.

Does the marble vary between pieces?

Yes. The base is cut from natural brown emperador-style marble, so the veining, fissures and tonal range vary between individual lamps. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect.

How is the marble cleaned?

Wipe the marble with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid acidic cleaners, sprays and polishes, which can etch the stone surface.
