Description

This GU10 spot gives colour and plain white light from a single lamp, and it comes with its own infrared handset. The pack prints 230 lumens in a wide cone from 4.2 watts and rates it as a 35W replacement, so it drops into a halogen spot position with no change to the fitting. The cap is the familiar GU10 two pin push and twist type used in mains voltage track heads and downlights, running straight off 220 to 240V with no transformer involved. If the lamp you are taking out has two short pins rather than a screw thread or a bayonet, this is the right shape.

A colour changing lamp earns its keep where light is doing more than letting you see the room: a shelf recess, an alcove, a run of track over a media wall, the back of a bar, or a bedroom that wants green one week and blue the next. Because the handset also has a white key, the same lamp still works as ordinary white light the rest of the time, which matters if you only want to convert one or two heads in a track rather than all of them.
