Description
The Energizer GU10 is a 4.2W LED bulb offering RGB colour changing modes plus a dedicated white mode, controlled by an included infrared remote. The bulb outputs 230 lumens and replaces traditional 35W halogen GU10 spotlights with a fraction of the energy consumption. The remote allows selection from 16 static colours plus four dynamic effects: flash, strobe, smooth fade, and mode cycling.
Designed for accent lighting, feature walls, retail displays and home entertainment spaces where adjustable colour creates atmosphere, the bulb fits any standard GU10 downlight, track light or spotlight fixture. The 50mm diameter and 54mm height match conventional GU10 dimensions, fitting flush in most downlight cans. The remote works within line-of-sight range of approximately 5-8m depending on room layout, allowing adjustment from a sofa, bed or across a kitchen island.
The RGB+W configuration means the bulb can produce saturated reds, greens, blues, purples, oranges and yellows for accent use, plus a separate white mode for functional task lighting. The white mode sits at a variable colour temperature depending on the combination of LEDs activated. The rated lifespan of 15 years is based on typical residential use of 3 hours per day, meaning the bulb should last approximately 16,425 hours before noticeable lumen degradation.
The bulb is non-dimmable via mains wall dimmers but brightness and colour saturation are adjustable via the remote's stepped control. The infrared remote requires a direct line-of-sight to the bulb, so it works best in open-plan rooms or where the bulb is visible from seating positions. Each bulb ships with one remote; multiple bulbs in the same room will respond to the same remote simultaneously unless physically separated by walls or doors.

Frequently Asked
Can this bulb be used with a wall dimmer switch?
No. The bulb is non-dimmable via mains wall dimmers and should only be used on standard on/off switching circuits. Attempting to use it with a wall dimmer may cause flickering or damage. Brightness is adjustable via the infrared remote control instead.
What colours can the bulb produce?
The remote provides 16 static colour presets including red, green, blue, orange, yellow, cyan, magenta, pink, purple, plus combinations of these. A separate white mode provides functional task lighting. Four dynamic modes (flash, strobe, smooth fade, mode cycle) are also available.
Will one remote control multiple bulbs?
Yes. All bulbs in the same room with line-of-sight to the remote will respond simultaneously to the same infrared signal. If independent control is needed, bulbs must be physically separated by walls or doors that block the infrared beam.
Does the bulb remember the last colour setting after being switched off?
Most GU10 RGB bulbs of this type return to a default white or off state when mains power is cycled. The colour setting typically needs to be re-selected via the remote after each power cycle at the wall switch.
