The Effie cushion is a plain, two-tone piece: a soft petal-pink front and back in slub cotton, edged all the way round with a gathered ruffle in vintage cream. Slub cotton is woven from yarn of deliberately uneven thickness, which is what gives the face its gently textured, slightly irregular surface rather than a flat, uniform weave.
