Description

The Eclipseax is a 300mm circular outdoor LED wall light with an integrated 16W 3000K LED housed behind a brown metal disc. The LED sits within the circular housing and casts light in a radial pattern across the wall surface, creating a halo effect around the perimeter of the fitting rather than projecting light forward into the space.

Designed for use on external walls under eaves, covered porches, garden boundaries and courtyard walls, the Eclipseax carries an IP54 rating giving protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm white light suitable for residential outdoor settings where soft ambient illumination is preferred over bright security lighting. The brown metal finish pairs with brick, render and timber cladding in traditional and rural settings.

The 300mm diameter gives the fitting enough visual presence to work as a single accent light on a garden wall or in pairs flanking a doorway. The circular form with shallow profile sits close to the wall surface, projecting approximately 60-80mm from the mounting point. The integrated LED is rated at 16W and cannot be replaced — when the LED reaches end of life the entire fitting is replaced.

The brown metal finish is a mid-tone brown oxide coating applied to the aluminium housing. It weathers naturally over time in exposed conditions, developing a slightly darker patina in areas where moisture settles. This natural ageing is typical of outdoor metal finishes and contributes to the fitting's integration into garden and landscape settings.

Can this be used in fully exposed outdoor locations?

The IP54 rating provides protection against dust and water splashes, making the fitting suitable for covered outdoor areas such as under eaves, porches and pergolas. For fully exposed locations subject to driving rain, a higher IP rating (IP65 or IP66) is recommended.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 16W LED is integrated into the housing and cannot be replaced. When the LED reaches end of life (typically 25,000-30,000 hours), the entire fitting is replaced. This is standard for integrated LED outdoor fittings.

What light pattern does it produce?

The Eclipseax produces a radial wash across the wall surface, creating a halo effect around the perimeter of the circular fitting. It does not project light forward into the space, so it functions as accent or ambient lighting rather than functional task lighting.

How is it wired?

The fitting connects to mains 230V AC wiring via a junction box or outdoor connector behind the mounting plate. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations for outdoor electrical installations.
