Description

This surface downlight fixes flat onto the ceiling face rather than dropping into a cut-out, so there is no recess to cut and it suits solid or shallow ceilings where a recessed fitting will not fit. The round white housing measures Ø277 by 110 mm and holds the lamp in a fixed downward position. It accepts a single E27 Edison Screw (ES) bulb rated up to 25W, and the bulb is supplied separately so you can pick the brightness and tone that suit the space.

Rated IP44, the fitting copes with splashes and humidity, which makes it a sensible choice for a bathroom landing, a covered porch, an entrance or a utility area as well as ordinary indoor rooms. As a fixed surface fitting it gives a steady wash of light straight below, so it works well over a hallway, a small kitchen corner or a stairwell where a clean downward spread is wanted. Plan one for a compact area or several spaced across a larger ceiling.

The plastic body carries a white finish that reads cleanly against a pale ceiling, and the IP44 construction keeps moisture out of the lamp holder. Mounting is straightforward face-fixing onto the ceiling, with the E27 holder ready for an ES lamp of up to 25W.
