Description

The Knightsbridge dual voltage shaver socket provides both 115V and 230V outputs behind a brushed chrome rounded-edge faceplate with a black insert. The socket accepts two-pin shaver plugs and low-current charging devices, switching automatically between the two voltages depending on the plug inserted. The IP41 rating confirms protection against solid objects over 1mm and vertically dripping water, making it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3 under UK wiring regulations.

Designed for installation above bathroom vanities, next to mirrors, or in en-suite wet rooms, the socket provides power for electric shavers, electric toothbrushes and similar personal grooming devices without requiring a standard 13A socket in a moisture-prone area. The dual voltage capability means it works with both UK-spec 230V shavers and older or imported 115V models without needing a separate transformer. The socket is certified to EN 61558 transformer safety standards and carries a 25-year manufacturer warranty.

The rounded-edge faceplate has a low 7.5mm projection from the wall once fitted, giving a slimmer profile than traditional screw-fixed plates. The brushed chrome finish is applied to premium-grade steel, providing corrosion resistance in humid bathroom environments. The black insert behind the faceplate conceals the socket aperture and provides visual definition around the shaver plug points. The socket requires a 47mm minimum back box depth for installation.
