Description

The Dear Santa cushion is a rectangular Christmas cushion with a printed front that reads like a letter addressed to Father Christmas. On one face, a cream ground carries a handwritten note to Santa Claus at 25 Candy Cane Lane, The North Pole, framed by a diagonal airmail border in red, pink and navy, with a North Pole delivery postmark and a scatter of little printed stamps showing a cracker and a stocking. Turn it over and the reverse is a busy display of festive stamp motifs on a red ground: baubles, presents, a Santa hat, reindeer, holly, a Christmas tree and NOEL lettering. It measures 30 by 50cm, a generous lumbar shape rather than a square.

This is a seasonal cushion, so it belongs where Christmas is on show: propped against the pillows on a made bed, set at the end of a sofa, or on a bench or armchair in a hallway greeting arrivals. The letter side suits a calmer, cream-led scheme, while the stamp reverse brings a hit of colour, so you can turn it to match the room or the mood on the day. It sits happily alongside plainer red, green or cream cushions, letting this one carry the pattern.

The cover is a polyester blend with a small amount of cotton, printed rather than woven, which is how the fine hand-drawn detail and the bright motifs stay crisp. It is finished with a contrasting velvet piped trim around the edge, which gives the border a soft raised line and a little weight, and a concealed zip along one side so the cover closes cleanly with no visible fastening. The reversible design means you effectively get two looks from one cushion. Part of our wider Dear Santa Christmas range.

It measures 30 by 50cm, a rectangular lumbar shape rather than a square, which suits the end of a sofa or propping against bed pillows.

Yes, there is a concealed zip along one side so the cover can be removed. The supplier has not stated care instructions, so please check the sewn-in label before laundering.
