Description

A wall mirror, 100cm by 200cm, in dark grey. At 200cm it stands taller than a standard interior door. At this height it leans as readily as it hangs. Leaning suits a room where the walls are already busy and gives the mirror a slight backward tilt, which is more flattering than dead vertical.

A cool colour recedes: it makes a piece read as further away and a room as larger, which is why cool tones suit small spaces better than their reputation for coldness suggests. A sectioned mirror is one framed unit rather than separate panels: the glass is divided into facets within a single surround, so it hangs as one piece and the divisions are decorative rather than structural.
